Affiliate Marketing
An Introduction To Affiliate MarketingAffiliate marketing is an Internet-based marketing practice in which a business rewards their affiliates (this is you) for each visitor or customer you bring to the company’s’ website, where a product or service is sold by you (the affiliate) to a consumer through your affiliate marketing efforts. Affiliate marketing overlaps with other Internet marketing methods to some degree, because affiliates often use regular advertising methods. Those methods include organic search engine optimization, paid search engine marketing, e-mail marketing, and in some sense display advertising. On the other hand, affiliates sometimes use less orthodox techniques, such as publishing reviews of products, articles or services offered by the affiliates chosen partner. Affiliate marketing, which can be defined as; using one website to drive traffic to another, is a form of online marketing, which is frequently overlooked by advertisers. While search engines, e-mail, and website syndication capture much of the attention of online retailers, affiliate marketing carries a much lower profile. However, affiliates continue to play a significant role in the online marketers' marketing strategies. Websites and services based on Web 2.0 concepts, including blogging and interactive online communities, for example, have had a significant impact on the affiliate marketing world as well. This new media has allowed merchants to become closer to their affiliates and improved the communication between them, while also allowing the affiliates to network much closer with each other. |
